Rachel produces research, content, and podcasts about the world of tech and investing. While she's not dashing around the city with far too many microphones and hard drives, she enjoys trying out different coffee shops and going on runs, especially on Friday mornings with Pitch & Run. Why we do it
We’re not discounting that there are some great networking events in New York (many of you host them), but we’ve all been to the ones where we left questioning why we went to begin with. On top of that, many events were being held in spaces we didn’t want to go to, and we found ourselves having conversations with people that felt transactional. REAL is about feeling like you're hanging out with friends in spots you’re dying to try. We hope to help you build meaningful relationships with your peers at our events
Also, REAL: We both have these letters in our names! Much better than just saying 'Co-hosted by Lauren and Rachel’.
REAL Review
Some things we did last month..
We took a swing at mini golf this month with JP Morgan, inviting some of our venture friends to hang out for a quick round after work. We played at Swingers, an insanely cool indoor location in NoMad with all the perks — a great-looking course, a snazzy bar, and gourmet street food. We ate more nachos than anyone should in their entire lives. Big shoutout to Monica and Sydney from JP Morgan for making this happen.

You showed up and brought the best version of yourself to our cocktail hour at Jean’s, and it was one of the best ones yet. S/O to our regulars that make this event one of our favorites <3
